Most of us can describe general feelings of malaise, uneasiness, or other symptoms of body and mind that seem to occur when seasons change. The ancient science of Ayurveda describes imbalances that can occur with seasonal changes and has recommendations on how to cope with those changes. Yoga is the sister science to Ayurveda and there are postures and yoga practices that also help us cope with seasonal transitions. This workshop will give you an understanding of the changes that occur with the transition of the seasons. Martha will describe the Ayurvedic principles and Nancy will lead the participants in a yoga sequence to prepare for the seasonal change.

  • Cost is $35 for members and $40 for nonmembers.
  • Registration is requested by May 30.
  • A minimum of 5 people is needed to hold the workshop.
  • Details about how to participate in the workshop via Zoom will be emailed upon registration and payment.

Care Gatherings: Finding your anchor in the sea of change

As communities begin to reopen and we enter uncharted waters many are trying to find and define safety and a “new normal.”   Fear, worry, and anxiety can drown out the voice of our heart: our inner compass, the source of our inner strength and connection to something greater than ourselves.  This can leave us feeling disconnected drifting, unanchored in a sea of change.

The intention of these four, one hour weekly “Care Gatherings” is to provide a safe and supportive environment for us to de-stress, reconnect, and stay open to new perspectives and intuitive solutions for the challenges we face.

In these “Care Gatherings” you will:

  • Discover what’s at the heart of who you are and what you want most in your life.
  • Gain a better understanding of how stress affects one’s mental, physical and emotional experience.
  • Learn how to stop the energy drain from depleting emotions and disengage from the negative impact of stress.
  • Learn how to shift towards renewing emotions; enhancing one’s immune system, health, and self-security.
  • Improve your mental capacity and solve problems more effectively with less wear and tear on you.

You will receive access to “The HeartMath® Experience,” an interactive video program whose’s content is both uplifting and provides simple, scientifically validated tools for managing stress and anxiety — which we need now more than ever.   Solutions are within our hearts.  Caring for oneself and others is what increases the connection with our heart’s intelligent guidance and solutions.   Let’s navigate through this time together with compassionate latitude, gratitude and greater ease.

A 4-Week Series Offered Throughout June

With Irene Malachowsky, RN

  •  Option 1: Thursday, June 4, 11, 18, & 25 from 8:00-9:00 a.m.
  • Option 2: Saturday, June 6, 13, 20, & 27 from 8:00-9:00 a.m.

There is a public health crisis in our country and it’s fueled by the inability to self-regulate one’s emotions, attitudes and behaviors.  These past few months have offered opportunity for us to reflect on what’s important in our life, our values, what we want, and what’s at the heart of who we are.  Intentional living is a lifestyle based on your conscious attempts to live according to your values and beliefs. Compassionate latitude and gratitude are the lubricants for living a well designed life.

This program offers a systems approach for those who want to:

  • Feel the flow of life when your actions and your intentions are in alignment with your core values
  • Unplug from old stress patterns, attitudes and habits that are getting in the way of living the life you want now
  • Experience more moments when your heart comes alive, relationships deepen, and you give time to your passions

The lotus is a symbol of regeneration and rebirth.  We’ve all experienced the murky, muddy waters of life.  When we care for and nurture ourselves the heart, like the lotus, can integrate the various aspects of our being and bring a radiant sense of wholeness, acceptance, grace, inner peace and joy to our life.

  • Cost is $40 for all 4 weeks.
  • Space is limited to 6 people per series.
  • Details about how to participate in the workshop via Zoom will be emailed upon registration.
